Fancy Nancy Party

Little Hallie LOVES all things Fancy. She decided she wanted to have a Fancy Nancy party! And boy did we have fun!

The invitation I whipped up.

The girls couldn't wait for the party to start! We had it decorated and ready to go.

As the fancy guest arrived, they were able to decorate crowns, do their makeup, spray sparkles in their hair and dress in their wings and necklaces.

Next we read Hallie's favorite Fancy Nancy book to get the girls excited about the party. They loved it! We taught the girls some new fancy words to use and then it was time to get our party on!
We did some freeze dancing...

...Sweet limbo (Hallie thought she'd be a little sneaky when it got too low.)... and some "Pass the Posh Puppy".

Hallie had saved her pinata that she made at school to do for her party. It was pooring rain, so we had to improvise a little and do it inside. Lesson learned, have someone else be in charge of taking pictures during the party. It was so hard to snap pics while taking charge of everything. Especially the pinata. Here's Peyton :).

She opened presents. All her friends were so sweet.
Hallie was excited that her friend Samya was able to come before she moves. They are too cute together.

Then for the treats!!! Since we were all dressed fancy now, we were ready to go eat at "The King's Crown".

We had delectable fancy cupcakes and ice cream parfaits. The girls LOVED this.

The rain ruined our outdoor seating area, so we decided to sit fancily on the floor :). The girls didn't seem to mind.
As they waited for their parents to pick them up, we played more freeze dancing and limbo and they "just wanted to play". Overall, I think it turned out to be a great fancy party!

I also made some fancy pens to stick in their treat bags to take home. Here's a few of them.
And the best part of all...my sweet sweet sister Chelsey and cutey baby Jack came for a few days to come help celebrate! And help she did! She is always so much help and I love that she lives close enough that we can see each other. My girls LOVE her and are just a little obsessed. We were also able to squeeze in a great shopping day while she was here! Who doesn't love shopping and some great deals?!
Saying goodbye to Jack. They are SO in love with him. Kyler loves him too.

Peyton doesn't always quite know where her boundaries are with him.

Peyton's face kills me.

Happy Birthday to my sweet Fancy Hallie! Hope she had a good and fun party!

Happy Birthday Hallie

I can't believe that my sweet little Hallie is six! She is growing up way too fast. I still remember this night six years ago when I woke up to my water breaking. I couldn't wait to meet this little sweetie. And all she has been from the day she was born was that. SWEET. I often wonder how I got so lucky to be blessed with this sweet little angel.

Hallie is a very strong and determined person. She knows what she wants and she goes for it. She doesn't give up. I love the way she adapts to life and every situation. She doesn't focus on the negative, but is always thinking positive. When life changes, she goes with the flow. Doesn't look back and is ready for the next new thing in her life to come.

I love how excited she gets about things. She LOVES parties, holidays, birthdays, surprises, etc. She can hardly sleep with anticipation for them. She makes life so fun and is always reminding us how great the day is.

I love her passion to learn and understand things. She loves to figure out and learn why things are the way they are. She wants to know the reasons behind everything. I love the questions she asks me about the gospel and am amazed at all that she knows and understands at such a young age.

I love how much faith she has and love hearing her sweet prayers. Her solution to any problem she has is to say a prayer, and have faith. She's such a great example to me all the time in this way.

I love her giggle. She has the cutest little laugh and it makes me smile when something makes her laugh. It's so cute.

I love the example she is to her brother and sister. She is always trying to be obedient and sets a great example. She sometimes gets the brunt of cleaning up, doing chores, etc when her little sisters sits and refuses...But she plugs along and does what she's supposed to. I can always rely on her to do what is right.

I love the random hugs and "I love you's" I get throughout the day. She can always sense when I am in need of some of her love and tries so hard to let everyone know she loves them. She cares about people's feelings. She is such a great helper and I love hearing her play with her sister and brother.

I have a love/hate relationship with her passion for dogs. I love that her and Peyton's world is pretend play from the minute they wake up and somehow always ends up with one of the them being a dog. I love that she is still begging me for a dog and is determined to not give up on this request. (Ok, I actually do NOT love that at all.) But I love that she understands why and that maybe someday (when she's moved out of the house :)) she can get one.

I am so grateful for my sweet Hallie. She is such a mature little girl and is my little buddy. I couldn't imagine my life without her. And when I tell her that she says, "well, you wouldn't even know me if you didn't have me, so how would you be sad? Because you wouldn't know about me." See...she's always thinking. I love her to pieces and feel so incredibly blessed to have her in my life and to have the privilege of being her mom.

Happy Birthday to a beautiful sweet six year old!!!
