{ APRIL IN THE HOUSE }

PEYTON:

Loves to do everything by herself. Including... making her own lunch :).

...doing her own makeup!

...And making sure Elmo is ready to go with us too.

HALLIE:
 Such a great helper! Loves to hold Kyler and play with him.

She sang songs to him until he fell asleep. It was so cute. And she was so proud of herself.

Still loving preschool. She came home with this to show me. I was quite impressed! She thought of this idea and created it all by herself. She started with a bunch of scratch papers. Cut them the right lengths and put them all together to write her name. I love it! And love that she is so creative.

My little woodbuilders. I took on a new hobby with Aaron. (Post to come) My girls had a blast hammering nails into wood while I worked.

KYLER:

The thumb sucker! Seriously, I've tried to stop it. Notice the two binkies right next to him?! He pops those suckers out and whips that thumb right in there. Yes, I'll admit, I think it's kindof cute. And actually quite convenient that he can soothe himself to sleep. But it won't be cute when he's 5 years old and still sucking it with buck teeth! Anyone know how to break the habit? My girls never did this.

He is such a great baby! This floor mat is our lifesaver! He spends quite a bit of time here :). And loves every second of it. He could spend forever here just kicking and punching and smiling and cooing. Until he wears himself out. With not even a cry, I'll come back to see him sleeping. What a sweetie.

{ EASTER }

We had a great Easter day. Went to church and then headed up to Austin to our friends the Fitch's for the rest of the day. It was a fun!
Had fun finding their hidden Easter baskets

 Thanks for the cute dresses Grandma. They came with a matching one for their dolls. But what did they put them on instead? Oh, their puppies. ha ha. I forgot to get a picture.

Had a little egg hunt

This face cracks me up! He's been making it alot lately.

Had to make the traditional bunny bread. Someday, I'll actually try to make it look cute. Maybe when I actually get some sleep. Hallie was in charge of snack at her preschool the next day and thought it'd be fun to make one for it. The kids all loved it. It was a big hit.

Here's a couple Easter quotes I like that I got from my sister :). I'm so grateful for the antonment in my life and for all the blessings I have been given.

"The more we know of Jesus, the more we will love Him. The more we know of Jesus, the more we will trust Him. the more we know of Jesus, the more we will want to be like Him and to be with Him by becoming the manner of men and women that He wishes us to be, while living now 'after the manner of happiness."
Neal A. Maxwell

"Though you may feel that no one can understand the depth of your despair, our Savior, Jesus Christ, understands. He suffered more than we can possibly imagine, and He did it for us; He did it for you. You are not alone."

Dieter F. Uchtdorf

"Love is what inspired our heavenly Father to create our spirits; it is what led our Savior to the Garden of Gethsemane to make Himself a ransom for our sins. Love is the grand motive of the plan of salvation; it is the source of happiness, the ever-renewing spring of healing, the precious fountain of hope. As we extend our hands and hearts toward others in Christlike love, something wonderful happens to us. Our own spirits become healed, more refined, and stronger. We become happier, more peaceful, and more receptive to the whisperings of the Holy Spirit."
Dieter F. Uchtdorf.

{ EGG HUNT }

The kids and I had a little egg hunt in our backyard. Okay...maybe...just maybe because we were 15 minutes late to the playgroup one and missed the whole thing :). My kids were good sports though and had just as much fun.

P.S. Isn't Aaron awesome?! He just built this retaining wall around the tree. So fun.

The difference between my girls. Hallie...comes in...lines all her eggs up to count and organize. Then after careful consideration asks if she can eat one.

Peyton...dumps them all out, grabs the first egg she can and shoves her mouth full of candy before I can tell her no. And she thinks if she smiles big enough and cute enough, she may get away with it.

{ SLEEPING BABY! }

Kyler SLEpT from 10 p.m. until 8:30 a.m. this morning!!!

I had to document! Thank you my sleeping baby. You spared me a wrinkle. Keep it up!
And...he started laughing yesterday. It was so cute. That's worth documenting too. I love my little baby. I wish I could freeze him and make time go slower. He's getting too big. I love this age.

{ PORT ARANSAS BEACH TRIP }

At the beginning of April, we headed down to Port Aransas beach for a much needed trip. Our good friends the Fitch's came with and we had alot of fun! We're so glad they all moved to Austin so we can see them more often. Our kids had a blast together. Here's lots of pics.

Peyton insisted on wearing my sunglasses the entire time because it was "so bwight!" and she left hers at home. I was quite impressed that she really kept them on the ENTIRE day. It was funny.

Hallie was all about the sand! Loved making a sandcastle, getting buried, digging, etc.
 Kyler was a good sport to chill all day.

Playing with Lilah. How much can she actually see in those things?
 Lovin the sand

Our attempt of a "family picture" at the shark. Hallie was ridiculously scared to go in the mouth. Seriously? Did she really think it was alive? I was dying. I needed some empathy for her but I had none. So what did we do? Forced her in the mouth! And can you believe it, she's still alive!

Peyton had a blast kicking the soccer ball around.

 LOVED Todd and Heather's dog Jimmer. They were so glad he came along.
 Our crazy Peyton was on the go non stop.

This is what you get when I say "Smile!"

Mary, Heather and I

Aaron was so nice to play with all the kids. The kids loved getting buried in the sand.

Kiddos watching movies while we all played cards. Hallie and Mason are so cute together. I think I sense a little crush :).
Such a sweet brother

Kyler  gave us lots of smiles. I love this little cutie.

It was such a fun little getaway trip. We were able to go to some yummy restaurants (thanks to Heather's researching :)), see a few dolphins by the ferry, chill at the beach all day and hang out with good friends. The kids had a blast and that is what's most important! Can't wait to go again!
