{ PEYTON'S CAPTURED SAYINGS }

November & December 2010
(28-29 months)

• “No boogers today!” (after I watch her examine her nose with her finger in the car)

• We like to do doughnut runs for breakfast on Saturdays. We also have been bribing Peyton with a little piece of candy for eating her food. “I ate my doughnut ALL gone! Now I get a candy!”

• (while pretend playing) “I goin to Costco mom. I gonna look at mommy stuff. I got my card!”

• We are sitting in sacrament at church.
Me: “Don’t pick your nose!”
Peyton: “Just real fast! I get it one time.”

• Loves to repeat what Hallie says. Always saying the last few words of her sentences. (Ever seen Sandlot with the two little boys that are siblings? That would be Peyton and Hallie)

• Peyton talking to me: “I give you a slobbery kiss! Right here!” (points to my mouth)
Me: “No way!”
Peyton: “Okay, I give Howie one!” She runs around the house chasing Hallie to try and give her one laughing so hard. Hal gets to her first and gives her a slobbery kiss on the cheek first. Peyton stops laughing and becomes so serious. She says, “can I please wash my cheek off mom? I need to wash my cheek! Ew! Ew! Ew!”

• We pulled up to a gas station to get a drink (not the poop station). “NO! There’s poop! Poop! ALL over! Isgustin! (with dramatic arms in the air)”

• The girls and I were shopping at Gap. I was keeping an eye on them, but apparently not well enough because I found Peyton stripped down to her diaper! How embarrassing!

• Constantly asking, “What time it is?” (like it really means something to her)

• “I not tired no more.” Says this anytime she starts to get tired or it’s time for a nap.

• “I wuv u.” (says this a lot. I love it.)

• “This is my mudder (mother)” or “Yous my mudder!” (says this to me all the time to be funny)

• While shopping “Wait! Go back! Go back! Wook at that!” (does this all the time when we’re shopping)

• Peyton’s prayer: “Thank you for Dora, Dora’s puppy, Jared…”
Then Aaron tries to help her say it.
Aaron: “please help me”
Peyton “please help me”
Aaron: “to be good”
Peyton: “NO!”

{ DECEMBER }

• We were in UT and I was showering. Peyton comes in, pulls the curtain back, sticks her head in and yells, “Chelsey in there?” I said, “NO!” Her rely is, “Why?”

• Grandma: “Peyton, do you want a piece of chocolate?” (in the morning when she woke up)
Peyton: “Yes!” Pauses for a minute. “Don’t tell Mommy!”

• Chelsey gave the girls a pair of shoes. Peyton knows they are from her and insists on wearing them every day. And every day she says about 10 times a day, “Chelsey give her these to me!”

• Says “kickle” instead of “tickle” Always saying, “kickle me!” and “kickle kickle!”

• A very famous saying. “Pwease I have a wittle sip?” “ A WITTLE sip!” (of my drink)

• As we’re passing the gas station. “Cold pop! I see a cold pop! Mom, I want a cold pop! Pwease!!”

• “Mom, yous my buddy.”

• Loves to go in her room and sneak all her clothes off. Then runs around the house butt naked and dancing while yelling, “I goin cwazy!!! Ha ha ha!”

• “I doin a gweat job!” (anytime she’s eating her food, getting dressed, cleaning up, etc.)

• Peyton is a hard one to discipline. Her responses are always, “Put me on timeout mom!” (when she’s being naughty) or “Throw my toys in the garbage!” (when she’s not cleaning up).

• “I can’t tell you.” (When I ask her why she had to come to timeout)

• Peyton: “Mommy?”
Me: “hmm?”
Peyton: “calk wike a mommy!” (Talk like a mommy!) (she gest so frustrated because I don't say “what?”)

• Aaron: (while looking in the pantry) “What should we have for breakfast?”
Peyton: “how bout sugar?”

• “mmm mmm. This is dewicious!” (when she eats)

{ HALLIE'S CAPTURED SAYINGS }

November & December 2010
(4.5 years old)

• “I just have to take a little bow.” (After getting off the potty)

• (Talking to Peyton) “Listen to what Hallie says. Hallie’s your big sister and you have to do what I say all of the time. Okay?”… silence while Peyton gives Hallie the look of death…“There’s a little thing called sharing Peyton.”

• Overheard Hallie singing this song she made up while cleaning her toys up. “You just have to do what your mudder says. You don’t fuss about it. It doesn’t make any sense. It just makes sense if you just do it. If you just complain about it, it doesn’t make any more sense. I’m just swap you on the bum.” (not sure where that last part came from. I have honestly never said that in my life.)

• Aaron was making a lot of noise putting up my shelf. Hallie comes in and says, “Dad! What in the earth are you doing?”

• Aaron: “All I want for Christmas is two cute little girls.”
Hallie: “Dad, mom already borned two of us!”

• Calls the “Alamo” “The Elmo”

• “I have a runny nose. I’m so sad for myself.”
• “Mom, you’re my best buddy of all! Better than my friends! Better than all! And Daddy is too.”
• Hallie: “I got root beer! I got root beer!”
Me: “Hallie you did, but you need to stop singing that because Peyton didn’t get any.”
Hallie: “I got root beer!”
Me: “Hallie, if you say that again, I’m going to take it away. Who do you think will feel bad?”
Hallie: “Heavenly Father. Sorry mom.” (I was going for Peyton, but sure that works too.)

• A dance show was on and some old couple was doing a really crazy dance. Hallie: “I’m glad I don’t live in that same town!”
Me: “What town do you think they’re in?”
Hallie: “Judea”

• “Did you know I’m waterproof?”
• Calls Churros “Churrio”

{ GOODBYE TRAUMA & OCTOBER }

Trauma is OVER!!! Ya hear that? O-V-E-R!!! DONE! FINISHED! At least for a couple months anywhoo! We all are thrilled. Maybe it's cause I am prego, but it was pretty rough this time around for me. November has been so wonderful with Aaron not being as busy and crazy. So we are enjoying these next two months until he goes at it again. I'm not gonna lie. Thinking about how Aaron will be on Trauma again when the baby is due...makes me a little nervous. It'll all work out. It has to right? No sense in worrying about it. Afterall, I did DRIVE to UT the day after I got out of the hospital with Peyton and live there for a month while Aaron was living/working in SL right? We have awesome planning! ha ha.

Here's a few randomness of pictures from October. November is coming. I am a little behind. I just love my little cuties. My life would be so dull without them. I'm pretty lucky to be their mom.

Hallie asked if she could put Peyton to bed. Here's what I found. I overheard her say, "Okay, Peyton. We have to read our scriptures first. And then I'll read you the other books. K, this story is about Nephi. Can you say Nephi? And this is called the leedahona..." So sweet.

Peyton loves to dress up in all sorts of fancy attire, run into the room and say, "Look at me guys! Ta da!"

Lots of silly nights with Mom. And of course the famous, "uh, I hungy mommy" before bed. I gave in. What can I say?

Yay! Daddy gets to have a movie night with the girls while Mom is at YW!

{ ZEBREE'S BDAY PARTY }

Hallie is all about two important things! Holidays and Stuffed Animals! Why not join the two together? I received a special invitation to attend Zebree's Birthday Party (her stuffed Zebra). Only his favorite friends were invited to come (I felt so privileged to be among that group) and it was to happen while Peyton was taking a nap (so cleverly planned). Well I'm so glad I showed up. We had quite the party.

It started with playing "Make Mickey Mouse on the Rag". An exciting game where we had to make the best Mickey Mouse face on the dish cloth using stickers. And my favorite part...my bra as the blindfold! ha ha.

Next, we got to sing Happy Birthday and blow out the candles

Followed by a delicious tea party with cake, ice cream and frosted cookies! The pet owner was so kind to help Ty, Zebree, and Shamu eat all their food and play the games. What a great host!

Happy Birthday Zebree! Hope you had a good one!

{ MORE SOCCER }

Hallie got a medal at one of her soccer games. She was quite excited to show it off and take it to show-&-tell at her preschool.

Peyton is wondering why she can't play soccer too. She was so proud of herself that she got the socks, shin guards and shoes on all by herself. And was a little devasted when I told her she wouldn't be able to play in the game with Hal.

{ MEET KINTER & CACA }

Pillow Pets have some pretty clever ideas to make every flippin kid want one of their inventions. Hallie and Peyton have seen their commercials on TV numerous times. I think we have it memorized. It got to the point where Hallie would fast forward or rewind her shows to get to the "pillow pet commercial".

Well I didn't think I could listen to Hallie and Peyton talk about how they wanted one of these for another 2 months until Christmas came. I would've gone crazy. So...we had some gift card money to Toys R Us and we took a little trip there. They were in heaven! It was so cute to watch how excited they were. Before we left home, the girls found the perfect purse that their pillow pets would fit in. And made sure to bring a collar, a leash, a few toys it would like, and a snack in case it got hungry.

They wanted to pay for them all by themselves. Hallie bought hers first. While I was helping Peyton get hers, I looked over to see Hallie sitting by the aisle already pulling out the collar, leash and talking to it like it was her new best friend. It was so cute.

Meet Kinter (Hallie's unicorn) and Caca (Peyton's bumble bee). We tried to get Peyton to decide on a different name, but she was and still is pretty adamant about it being called Caca.

Taking them on a ride. Had to stop for gas.
The three of us had a little Girls Night Party, rented Barbie and the Fashion Fairytale, ate lots of popcorn and treats, and had a sleepover (Aaron was working). Glad to know Caca was comfy enough for Peyton to crash on. (the basket is full of "treats for Caca")

They are still loving their Pillow Pets! So glad the excitement hasn't worn off yet.
