We were able to bless Peyton at my parent's house while we were in Utah. I'm so thankful to have such a wonderful husband who is a strong priesthood holder. It was so nice of all our families to come to this special event. Always so fun to see everyone. And a HUGE thank you to my mom who is always so willing and happy to host everything for me :) You're the best.

Summer Finale with the Family

All in one week, we left back to Iowa, Chelsey moved to Chicago and my parents left to Europe. (poor Natalie). So Chelsey planned one last get-together in the canyon the night before we left. It was SO fun. The kids had a blast playing together and making smores. We enjoyed just chatting and hangin out around the fire. It was great to have Grandpa there with us and we couldn't help but miss Grandma knowing she would've loved to be there too.

More Utah...

Feeding the ducks
We had a shower for my friend Beth. It was so fun to get together a few times with all my friends from High School. They are so sweet to always plan something when I come. I just love seeing them and catching up on new and old times. (Lindsay, I stole this off your blog :))
Utah was lots of fun. Challenging at the beginning with trying to find a new normal amongst all the changes we had going on. But we worked it out, and had a blast. I love being close to family and it's hard to be away. Hallie is still asking for "Maama, Bampa, Avery" and many others and pretends to talk to them on the phone. She asks if she can see Avery and I say, "not for awhile" and then she says, "tomorrow?".

Lack of Sleep?

These pictures somewhat explain my lack of posting lately. Hallie and her cousin Avery were playing "princesses". Hallie asked me to put this dress on her. With no hesitation, I put it on while Avery is sitting there saying, "Heather, that dress used to have two arms. I wonder what happened to the other arm." I just nod my head and say, "sure Avery, okay." while wondering why the heck she's saying that. (see first picture). Off they go to play.
A while later my sister Natalie comes in laughing and asks, "Who put that dress on Hallie?". My reply, "I did! Why? What's so funny?" She informs me that I have put the dress on upside down (the snaps to the bottom are around her shoulder)! OOPS!I didn't think anything of it. Guess my stupidity didn't leave after pregnancy. Crap :)
Pictures and updates to come eventually! Here's a few of Peyton for now.

One of my favorite things about her is how she always places her hands. She's like a little poser with them.

Peyton Marie O'Brien

She has arrived!!! Peyton was born July 29 at 4:44 p.m. She was 6 lbs 9 oz and 20 inches long. Heather recieved a call Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. saying that she should get to the hospital within the next hour to start the induction. Her due date was the 31st but due to the cirrcumstances with our plans next week her doctor said he would induce her a week early if she was favorable (dialated to at least a 3). Monday we found out she had become favorable but Tuesday was the earliest she could get in. After slowly progressing from a 4 to a 6 over 5 hours, Heather went from 6 to complete in an hour. When it was time to push the baby's head was already coming out. One push later and she was out. Peyton is healthy and Heather is doing well. Hallie was very excited to meet her new baby sister and really wanted her name to be Elmo. Here are a few pictures from the first few hours of Peyton's life. More will be coming.

Wow. Where to begin with the posting. Life has been so busy, so crazy, so fun. Here's a few things we've been up to. And I have to vent and encourage EVERYONE to backup all your pictures and important things on your computer. My laptop crashed and I lost ALL of my pictures and videos from the last year. Totally sick to my stomach? Yes! But lesson learned, that's for sure. Here's some pics from after my little incident. Things are going good here. I'm 38 weeks now! Hooray! Only 2, hopefully 1 more week to go! Can't wait.
(warning: picture overload + more to come)

San Diego Trip

We had a blast in San Diego with my family. Did so many fun things. We went to the beach a few times, Sea World, Padres baseball game, shopping, lots of late night Rock Band and cards. So fun.

So laying on the beach 9 months prego is not super comfy. Aaron dug a chair in the sand for me and my sis's and mom. It was AWESOME! Best idea ever. I didn't want to ever leave!

Can't resist my people watching :) Seriously! Check out that stach!

Happy Birthday Hallie

Hallie turned 2 on July 3rd. What a little cutie she is. I feel so lucky to have this little sweetheart. She had a great day, got super spoiled by family and friends and still loves to talk about her "Elmo cupcakes" and cake.

Fourth of July

The 4th was a fun day. We started it off right with the good ol' parade or should I say "candy fest". They throw out SO much candy. Hallie was our little collector. She ran around trying to get as much as she could. Next, we had a little bbq with some pools and slippin slidin! My belly flop was the best! ha ha. I was so gelous that I couldn't do it. Last we topped it off with some fireworks at night.

Do you think she's exited? Look at that tongue!
